Employment Law
Indigenuity works with employers from the beginning to the end of the employment relationship – from crafting policies and handbooks, hiring and onboarding new employees, assisting with disciplinary matters, all the way through termination and the potential aftermath, such as handling administrative claims and litigation. Our firm also has helped employers deal with more complicated issues, such as preparing and litigating restrictive covenants, including covenants not to compete, non-solicitation agreements, and non-disclosure agreements.
We have written policy, addressed employee issues, and/or litigated (including through trial to verdict) employment claims regarding each of the following federal and state laws:
- ADA;
- ADEA;
- FLSA;
- FMLA;
- Title VII discrimination;
- Wage and hour claims under Arizona state law; and
- Arizona’s mandatory sick pay law.
Indigenuity also has unique experience handling employment matters arising within Native communities, to include ensuring compliance with Indian and tribal-specific preference, as well as defending employers before tribal administrative bodies (Tribal Employment Rights Offices) and in various tribal courts in Arizona.
